Welcome to Steve Rockell Actor...

Getting up on stage and entertaining people, that’s what I’ve been doing for most of my life so far and that’s what I want to do for the rest of it! John Robert Powers Acting Academy in London has taught me acting skills and American accents. I am now on the lookout for new challenges.

Having just played Widow Twankey in Aladdin, I think I now have a pretty varied list of characters to my credit!  Some favourites are Willy Mossop in Hobson’s Choice, Albert Perkins in Pull the Other One, Alberto Bertorelli in Allo Allo,  Bill Sykes in Oliver and Idle Jack in Dick Whittington.  These plays require a wide range of talents to make the part successful, from accents to body language, comic timeing to pure hatred and aggression.  I feel all the above parts were brilliantly received and I hope to perform even more challenging parts in my future.

TV credits include three episodes of Midsomer Murders, and “Get Carmen” a Channel 4 production with David Suchet.  I was also seen wielding the latest mobile technology in an advert for Hutchisons phones on Sky TV.

When I have time between acting roles I enjoy writing sketches and plays and am involved in running a youth theatre company.

So, I have a lot to offer and I can’t wait to hear what my next opportunity will be.
